In the Event of a Crisis

Crise

Is your loved one not doing well? Are they in crisis?
Is your loved one behaving unusually? Do you feel that you don’t recognize them anymore? Are they are having dark thoughts? acting violenty? In short, are you worried about them?
Don’t hesitate to call us.

At L’Accolade, our staff is trained to provide you with proper listening skills and to respond to crisis situations. It is also possible to meet with a counsellor. However, it’s always to call before showing up; we want to make sure we are available to help.

Our office is open from Monday to Friday, from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Outside of our business hours, you can communicate with the local crisis intervention centre, La Maison sous les arbres, at 450-699-5935 or at 1-855-277-3553. This resource is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

However, if you are in a situation where your life or the life of your loved one is in danger, call 911.

Moreover, crisis situations sometimes invoke the Act Respecting the Protection of Persons whose Mental State Presents a Danger to Themselves or to Others. L’Accolade Santé Mentale can help you call upon this law in order to bring your loved one to a hospital to undergo psychiatric assessment. To find out more, click on the link in this paragraph.
