Awareness raising

Accolade

We offer activities that help raise awareness about issues and preconceptions surrounding mental health.

Annual campaign raising awareness about mental illness

Taking place in the first full week of October, this national campaign is coordinated by the Réseau Avant de craquer (formerly known as the FFAPAMM). Using promotional tools provided by the Réseau, we introduce a number of initiatives that help raise awareness in our service sector.

Putting an end to preconceived notions

Aimed at students in grades 10 and 11, this program intends to:

  • Educate teens about mental illness
  • Encourage them to seek help and information, and provide guidance on how to go about it
  • Reduce the preconceived notions people may have about those with mental illness, and their loved ones
  • Lower the social distance that exists between teens and people with mental illness

This program was developed by the FFAPAMM and validated by Université Laval researchers.

It has been offered in various schools in our area and has reached hundreds of teens since its inception. If you are interested in this free program for your high school, please contact us.
